Vladimir F. Odoevsky as a recipient of German culture

This article discusses the topic of Germany in the works of V.F. Odoevsky, Russian writer of the mid-19th century. The article consideres the influence of Germany, its culture, as well as a literary trend of German romanticism, on the personality and work of the writer. Based on the analysis of “Russian Nights” by V.F. Odoevsky, the authors of the article prove that Germany and its culture directly influenced the personality and works of Goethe, Hoffmann, Bach and Schelling’s philosophy.
