Field studies of changes in the effective fertility of common chernozem with the use of symbiotic microbial strains in chickpea crops were carried out. Laying of experiments in the conditions of the south-east of the Central Chernozem region (Voronezh FANZ). The positive role of microbial preparations in improving the content of nutrients in the soil has been established. The greatest influence was observed in the change in the amount of nitrate nitrogen in the first half of the growing season. Inoculants increased the content of chlorophylls in chickpea leaves. A correlation was established between the amount of nitrate nitrogen in the soil and the amount of accumulation of green pigments in the leaves of chickpea plants.
