Effects of biventricular and monofoсal pacing of the left and right ventricular apices on the parameters of the cardiac hemodynamics in dog

Бесплатный доступ

In clinical cardiology biventricular and monofocal electrical pacing is widely applied to improve contractility of the left ventricle. Parameters of cardiac haemodynamics at biventricular (base of the left and apex of the right ventricles) and monofocal pacing of the apices of the left and right ventricles of adult mongrel dogs are studied. Pump function of the left ventricle in dog continued to a greater degree at pacing of the left ventricle apex, whereas that of the right ventricle - at biventricular pacing. The greatest decrease in pump function of the right ventricle occurs at electric pacing of its apex, as compared with pacing of other zones of myocardium.
