Influence of long-term applied fertilizers upon sugar content of sugar beet roots grown in crop rotation links with grass and fallow in the Central Black-Earth region

Fertilizers used for sugar beet in fallow and grass links of a long grain-beet crop rotation promoted obtaining of sugar beet roots with different sugar content level. Application of N45P45K45 for sugar beet together with 25-50 t/hectare of manure as well as N90P90K90 + 25 t/hectare of manure in the fallow crop rotation link during 10-20 years ensured the highest values of sugar content (17.9-18.9 %). And the dose of N45P45K45 had the same effect in the clover crop rotation link (18.1-18.4 %). In the fallow crop rotation link, application of N45P45K45 for sugar beet together with 25-50 t/hectare of manure in fallow during 60-80 years provided sugar content at the level of 16.8-17.2 %; in the clover crop rotation link, application of N45P45K45 for the crop resulted in 16.6-17.3 %.
