A review of modern research in the field of the influence of metal-containing finely dispersed components on the performance characteristics of lubricants is carried out. The analysis of the literature on the classification, composition and properties of metal-containing additives is carried out, and the mechanism of interaction of dispersed components is also shown. Studies have shown that the concentration and distribution of these components can be controlled by antiwear, antioxidant, antifriction and other properties of lubricants.
