In this article, the authors consider the impact of the US dollar on international currency liquidity. The position of the US dollar in modern realities is noted. The statistics reflecting the share of the US dollar in world reserves according to the IMF are presented. It is indicated that the dollar is losing its position in the international arena due to the growing trend towards de-dollarization. The global crisis affects the stability of the American currency, so the United States needs to overcome it as successfully as possible in order to maintain its hegemon status. The authors also noted the reasons for the decline in interest in the American currency. Statistics are provided that reflect the dynamics of changes in the share of the US dollar in world foreign exchange reserves. The authors draw conclusions and reflect that if something happens to the American currency, a global economic crisis may follow, which will affect the whole world.
