Influence of geometrical errors upon resultant forces and torques of hydrodynamic suspension of diminutive spherical gyroscope

A hydrodynamic suspension of fast-rotating spherical rotor-gyroscope on a thin coat of ungelled fluid filling the gap between rotor and frame of stator is considered. The geometrical errors in the form of truncation and centre shift of the segments forming the frame of stator are taken into account. On the basis of numerical solutions the influence of errors upon resultant hydrodynamic forces and torques affecting the diminutive rotor of gyroscope is analyzed.
