The approaches to assessing the impact of globalization on the socio-economic development of the state are considered. It is established that the theory of globalization has a concrete historical character and acts as a form of formation of information technological and social methods of production, information and knowledge as fundamentally new production resources, which determines a qualitatively new stage in the rise of the socialization of the economy, the interaction of national economies, the world economy, TNCs and international organizations. At the same time, globalization acts as a form of formation of a post-industrial mode of production and is the highest degree of internationalization and integration of the world economy, the process of forming a single global information technology and economic and financial space based on scientific knowledge and innovation. It is proved that the modern pattern of world economic processes consists in the aggravation of the fundamental difference between the industrial mode of production and the new criteria of post-industrial society. It is determined that the intellectualization of the economy with a sharp increase in the importance of man necessitates the active use of knowledge and information and changes the technological structure with the predominance of the tertiary sector and information and communication systems in production processes. At the same time, national development in the context of globalization is a long-term process caused by scientific and technological progress and profound shifts in the technical, economic, social, political, and institutional spheres.
