Influence of raw material characteristics on the water saturation of asphalt concrete: a study

One of the key parameters affecting the longevity and quality of asphalt pavement is water saturation. This parameter depends on various factors, among which the characteristics of the materials used, such as crushed stone, sand, bitumen, and additives, are particularly important. Studying the influence of these factors on water saturation allows for the optimization of mix compositions and the improvement of asphalt concrete's performance properties.
