Chorionic gonadotropin effect on monocyte secretion of elastase and cathepsin G. Role of Toll-like proteins

Chorionic gonadotropin effects on monocyte secretion of elastase and cathepsin G ?{ serine proteases participating in tissue remodeling have been studied. It was shown that hormone regulation of elastase and cathepsin G secretion was accomplished with the Toll-like proteins involvement. Thus, a novel mechanism of hormonemonocyte interaction was determined that was mediated by Toll-like proteins that appeared to be the alternative hormone receptors.
