This article deals with the patterns in criminal activity in the field of traffic accidents, involving vehicles providing intercity passenger, as well as the patterns in the activities of law enforcement officers at the basic stage of the investigation, in particular, during the crime scene search, depending on the basicinvestigative situation. In all the mechanisms of the crimes we are considering, there is a system of three interconnected and interacting elements: driver - car - road.
