The author dwells on the analysis came from Byzantium, the spiritual currents of Hesychasm, the actualization of which in Russia, where he is called "smart doing”, is at the beginning of the ХХ century In the introductory part of the article are two ways of penetration of this teaching to Russia. One of them is the result of a dialogue between representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church with the Byzantine clergy, emphasizes the importance of the activities of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the spread of Hesychasm and the formation of them in the context of "clever making” new doctrine about Trinity. Another possibility is to explore the current associated with the Athos monks, the contacts which are enhanced during this period. In the main part of the article features of interpretation of Hesychasm by Russian painters, in particular, Theophanes the Greek and Andrey Rublev are traced. It was during this period that we had to create a high Russian iconostasis, the idea of which is partly connected with "smart doing”. It is noted that this doctrine had a greater impact on A. Rublev, "Trinity” which embodied the idea of the Trinity S. Radonezhsky.
