The impact of artificial intelligence on sustainable urban development

This article examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in urban development management, focusing on its importance for achieving sustainable development goals. With urban populations growing and urban systems becoming more complex, AI is becoming an important tool for optimizing transport systems, increasing energy efficiency, and improving the environmental situation. Examples of successful AI implementation in foreign cities and Russian pilot projects demonstrate its effectiveness in reducing emissions, decreasing travel time and improving quality of life. Particular attention is paid to the problems of AI implementation, including a shortage of specialists, high costs and the lack of uniform standards. Recommendations are proposed for the comprehensive implementation of AI in Russian conditions to create smart and sustainable cities of the future.
