The article, on the basis of a sociological survey, examines the propensity to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE), the reasons that induce an individual to purchase and further use, and its frequency. In addition, the prerequisites for the growth and decline in demand for PPE are highlighted. The authors identified the effects influencing the change in consumer behavior during the spread of Covid-19.
