The advantage of growing plants in vitro (in test tubes) is growing completely healthy plants in a short time and in large quantitiesLight (irradiation) is a priority factor that ensures the full growth of plants. The aim of the work is to substantiate an energy-saving irradiation regime for in vitro cultivation of meristemic plants of strawberry varieties "Korona" and "Brighton", which makes it possible to increase the yield of the crop and reduce the cost of electricity for its cultivation. The experiments were carried out at the Udmurt Research Institute of Agriculture. Two regimes of irradiation of plants were compared. The first mode is using fluorescent lamps (control). Second mode using LEDs that flash. This mode combined short pulses of light of 0.5 s for 30 s, and then one long pulse of 15 s. The implementation of this irradiation mode was carried out using the developed digital automated control system. Laboratory experiments have shown the positive effect of blinking irradiation on rooting, while the cost of consumed electricity decreased by 50%.Key words: energy saving light mode, in vitro plants, blinking irradiation, digital automated control systems.
