Influence of climatic factors (temperature and precipitation) on population dynamics of ungulates (on the example of the Jewish autonomous region)

the influence of climatic factors (temperature and precipitation) on the ungulates (elk, deer, wild boar, roe deer populations) change in number (by the example of the Jewish autonomous region) wasanalysed. In the study it is used the correlation analysis method and modified versions of the population model by Ricker that takes into account external factors. It is shown that fluctuations in the ungulates number are partly determined by climatic factors. It is established that the air temperature increase and precipitates decrease in spring and autumn have a positive impact on the red deer, wild boar and roe deer populations. The summer rainfall has a positive influence on all the above mentioned populations.
