The article examines how climate change affects political decisions and the prediction of global processes. It analyzes the economic and environmental aspects of global warming, as well as the role of international cooperation in addressing climate issues. Special attention is given to the impact of recent geopolitical upheavals on energy policies and strategies for achieving carbon neutrality. The study explores countries' participation in sectoral climate initiatives adopted at the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow in 2021. It notes the need to intensify research and development in new energy technologies to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly energy supply on a global scale.
