The present study investigates the impact of comorbidity of mood disorders and personality disorders on the main clinical characteristics of the current depressive episode and suicidal behavior. The total group of patients with a current depressive episode was divided into subgroup with the presence of a comorbid personality disorder (n=25) and subgroup without comorbid personality disorder (n=25). As psychometric instruments used SIGH-SAD, BDI, SPRAS, HARS, CGI-S, SBQ-R. The presence of a comorbid personality disorder determined earlier onset of affective disorder, greater severity of current depressive episode and of anxiety, increased risk of suicidal behavior.
