Evaluation of the effect of left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy on early results in patients with aortic valve stenosis after aortic valve replacement (AVR) was carried out in our investigation. It was noticed that isolated aortic valve stenosis is associated with concentric left ventricular LV hypertrophy. In patients with such type of LV hypertrophy there is a high risk of early complications development after AVR.
