Public transport plays a crucial role in Moscow, addressing the diverse transportation needs of its large population. Despite the extensive public transport network, recent trends indicate a growing preference for individual transport among residents, leading to increased congestion and pollution. However, the city faces limitations in expanding its transport infrastructure due to geographical and financial constraints. The concept of smart cities offers innovative solutions that can enhance various aspects of urban life, including transportation. This article aims to explore how Moscow's municipality can leverage smart city initiatives to improve public transport attractiveness and efficiency. By integrating advanced technologies such as real-time tracking, mobile payment systems, and data analytics, the city can create a more user-friendly public transport experience. Collaborating with efficient transport operators and incorporating elements like bike-sharing programs and electric buses can further promote public transit use. Enhancing public transport in Moscow will not only encourage residents to opt for sustainable travel options but also contribute to reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality. Ultimately, these efforts will lead to a higher quality of life for the city's inhabitants, fostering a healthier and more vibrant urban environment.
