Impact of migration on the socio-economic development of the Russian Far East

With the increasing role of the Pacific Rim the global economy grows the importance of the Russian Far East as a zone of contacts with this dynamically developing region. The article is devoted to the impact of migration on the socio-economic development of the Russian Far East. The author concludes that the development of the regional economy requires not only the population growth, resulting from an inflow of migrants, but also a territorial redistribution of the available human resources within the Far Eastern Federal district.
