The paper Presents the results of a study of the influence of modified microfibers of various nature on the fire-protection and heat-protection properties of vulcanizates based on ethylene-propylene-diene rubber EPDM-40. It is shown that the introduction of the elastomeric fire-heat-protection materials of mineral microfibers leads to increased heat resistance, which is estimated by the time of warming up of the unheated surface of the sample to 100 degrees Celsius, the linear speed of combustion and reduce the mass loss after exposure to high temperatures. Modification of microfibres provides not only increased resistance to gorenje, but also leads to an increase in the interaction of the "fiber-elastomer" system, and also improves their distribution in the elastomeric matrix, which leads to an increase in elastic-strength properties.
