Electroactivated aqueous solutions find more and more widespread use in various technological processes of industrial and agricultural production. It is shown that the development of energy-efficient devices for electrodialysis of aqueous solutions is an urgent technological problem. In this work, to solve this problem, experimental studies of the dependence of the energy consumption (Ec) and the time of the electrodialysis process ( ) on the electric field strength (E) in the working volume of the electrodialysis installation were carried out. The studies were carried out on a non-flow diaphragm electrodialysis setup with a fixed interelectrode distance. The values of the electric field strength in the working chamber of the setup were maintained during the experiment by stabilizing the voltage at its electrodes. It has been established that the dependences of the energy intensity and duration of the electrodialysis process of an electroactivated aqueous solution on the strength of the electric field in the working volume of the installation are nonlinear. It is shown that, starting with an electric field strength of 550 V/m, changes in these characteristics of the electrodialysis process at a pH value of рНк=10,0 are significantly slowed down. The slowdown in the increase in energy consumption at an electric field strength above 550 V/m can be explained by an increase in the rate of dissociation of molecules and the mobility of ions as a result of an increase in the water temperature in the working chambers of the electrodialysis installation. It has been established that to reduce energy consumption, it is necessary to carry out the process of electrodialysis of water and aqueous solutions at an electric field strength of 550-700 V/m. It has been shown that it is advisable to fully use the working area of the membrane in the process of electrodialysis. The research results can find application in the development of various types of electrodialysis units.
