Impact of scientific and technological progress on the concentration of agriculture in Japan

This article provides the analysis of the influence of the scientific and technological progress on the process of agricultural concentration in Japan. We show the dynamics of the branch for the last sixty years, offer a socioeconomic typology of the farms and their grouping on the basis of the sizes of production and present the territorial comparison of different economic zones of the country by the farms» sizes and etc. The majority of the statistical data is taken from the official website of the Statistical bureau of Japan and is embedded in the scientific turnover for the first time
