Influence of scientific discussions on practice of post-Soviet ethnopolitics

This article analyzes the impact of scientific discussions on the ethno-political practices post-Soviet period in Russia. The author concludes that in modern political attitudes nationwide power rooted understanding of the need to depoliticize ethnicity and awareness of the possibility of this de-politicization by political technologies. The ideas of Russian national identity and civic nation, first announced in Russia in the academic environment, are reflected in practice.
