Results of 7-day exposure to low frequency electromagnetic fields (frequency 50 Hz, intensity of 0.03, 269, 329, 331, 389 and 492 A / m) on the process of seed germination and seedling development of millet ( Panicum miliaceum ) were investigated. Weekly exposure to electromagnetic fields 1) had no statistically significant effect on the germination of seeds, which is varied in the range 81.7-92.3% at a reference value of 87.6%; 2) caused a statistically significant increase in the average length of the primary root (48.4-75.9 mm and 37.5 mm in the control); 3) caused a statistically significant increase in the average length of the sprouts (19.6-45.3 mm and 16.5 mm in the control).
