The influence of seeding rates on the productivity of flax of the oilseed variety Istok

To use the full potential of the new variety, taking into account its productivity and adaptability to the climatic conditions of the region it is necessary to study the complex of agricultural practices, primarily seeding rates. In Penza NIISH for the period 2015-2017 the results of the influence of seeding rates (6,0, 7,0, 8,0 and 9,0 million per hectares) on the productivity of flax were analyzed. It was found that the variety Istok at the seeding rate of 7.0 million pieces of germinating seeds per hectare provided a maximum yield of 1.56 tons of seeds and oil collection of 600.1 kg per hectare. Changes in seeding rates did not have a significant impact on the oil and protein content in flax seeds, which amounted to 43.51-43.75%, and 26.22-26.69%. The weight of 1000 seeds was in the range of 5.43-5.54 g for bilateral use it is advisable to increase the seeding rate to 8.0 million germinating seeds per hectare, which provides an increase in the yield of flax by 22.8 %.
