Materials on the assessment of the nitrate nitrogen (N-NO3) and the ammonium nitrogen (N-NH4) provision of the soil depending on the methods of tillage of fallow forecrop are provided. Research was carried out in the forest-steppe zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the crop rotation link “pure fallow - spring wheat” in 2017 and 2018. Option with traditional tillage techniques, viz. deep plowing of fallow, and resource-saving tillage with a disc harrow and a cultivator were compared. Тhe reduction in the depth of tillage and the abandonment of soil overturning leads to a decrease of nitrate nitrogen provision in fallow. After disking the concentration of the nitrate nitrogen ranges from 10.9 to 14.4 mg/kg, after cultivation it does not exceed 8.5 mg/kg of soil; the maximum nitrate nitrogen provision was recorded after deep plowing, when the concentration of N-NO3 in the soil was not lower than 17.3 mg/kg. When heavy rainfall occurs, the nitrate nitrogen provision after board plowing decreases and varies from 3...
