The pandemic of the new coronavirus infection has had an impact on the entire world community, including the development of the Arctic. The article deals with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the indigenous populations of the Russian Arctic. The author concludes that special attention should be paid to the preservation of the culture of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic, as well as to the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic.
