The impact of the pandemic on the dynamics of investment processes

The current situation during the COVID-19 pandemic and the methods of combating it have significantly adjusted the work of most sectors of the economy, including in the field of investment activity. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly destabilized the investment market. At the same time, some industries have found themselves in an extremely difficult situation, experiencing a significant economic downturn, while others, on the contrary, benefit from the current situation and succeed in making a profit. In such conditions, investors see new opportunities and promising areas for the implementation of investment projects. The main objective of this study is to analyze investment processes during the pandemic and to identify promising industries in which investment in fixed assets is effectively implemented. Absolutely all companies, one way or another, are involved in investment activities. Investments in fixed assets play an important role in the adaptation of the Russian economy to the new conjuncture after a significant drop in oil prices and quarantine restrictions. Investments are able to modernize production and improve the quality of products. Import substitution is also impossible without investments in the creation of production facilities and in quality improvement.
