The paper compares two approaches to the design of route systems in terms of the required number of rolling stock, as well as the economic costs of operating buses of various classes. The results of the calculations showed that the transition to a transfer model of passenger transportation will allow to minimize the number of rolling stock used, as well as to reduce the operating costs of transport enterprises.
