Influence of the gender of children who are raised in families of patients with alcohol addiction on their suicidological characteristics

The aim of the study was to identify the effect of the gender of the ACOA on a set of autoaggressive characteristics that appear as a result of upbringing in the “alcoholic” family. Materials and methods: we surveyed 259 senior university students. Of these, 135 people made up a group of young men whose parents suffer from alcohol addiction (YPA), and 124 - girls from similar families (GPA). Data processing was carried out on the basis of computer programs STATISTICA 7.0 and SPSS-Statistics. A frontal comparison was made, which convincingly showed the difference between the above groups in terms of manifestations of autoaggression. Further, the general groups were divided by us into subgroups depending on the parenteral figure suffering from alcohol dependence, with the aim of a more indepth analysis of the possible presence of the relationship and relationship between the sex of both respondents and their parents with a set of autoaggressive characteristics of ACOA. Results: with respect to classical auto-aggression, we found statistically significant differences only in the frontal comparison of GPA and YPA groups...
