Anti-icing reagents are one of the priority pollutants of the soil cover of Moscow. Salinity adversely affect the plant. Lawn grass showed sensitivity to anti-icing reagents. According to studies as an alternative to sodium chloride can be used magnesium chloride and calcium chloride as a relatively safe anti-icing reagents subject to the accepted norms of their consumption during the winter period. However, even a strict observance of dosage does not exclude the toxic effects on plants for these reagents. As a result, studies show high phytotoxicity sodium chloride, calcium and magnesium, with 1% salinity for lawn grass Agrostis stolonifera and Agrostis capillaris. Therefore, higher concentrations of anti-icing reagents can significantly limit the creation of high-quality lawns in urban areas.
