Cerasus fruticasa (Pall.) is drought-resistant, grows well and bears fruit abundantly in the areas of development of virgin and fallow lands in Western Siberia. The total area of cherries in Russia, in farms of all forms of ownership, including personal and collective, is more than 130 thousand hectares, or about 18% of all fruit [2]. In the Altai Territory, steppe cherry fruits are harvested up to 60 centners. According to the Novosibirsk fruit and Berry experimental station, bushes of some selected forms produce up to 7 kg of fruit [1]. The production of cherry fruit is considered the most profitable and cost-effective.
