The article examines the impact of the sharing economy on young people’s interest in property ownership and investments. The conducted research reveals that with the growing popularity of renting and temporary use, young people are increasingly less inclined toward property ownership, viewing real estate as a lower investment priority. Rental models offering flexibility and fewer financial commitments have become preferable for newer generations who value mobility and risk minimization. The contrast between approaches of property owners and renters highlights differences in financial access and preferences regarding stability. The sharing model, actively implemented in various sectors of the economy, encourages a shift away from traditional ownership, promoting more flexible forms of consumption. Thus, the trend toward renting supports the hypothesis of a declining interest among young people in long-term real estate investments and a rising preference for temporary and mobile consumption.
