Influence of grinding of rails to external noise of trains

The article considers the influence of the grinding of rails by a standard method on the acoustic characteristics of noise emitted by train composition. We investigated the external noise emitted by different types of trains in current way and grinding way. Brushed surfaces of rails with a standard technique of grinding minor acoustic effect. Drop short the possible theoretical value, because the quality of the wheelset still rough and not enough to achieve full acoustic effect. For best acoustic performance it is necessary to change the grinding methods of rails. Application of a standard methodology for grinding noise reduction is expedient to use in areas where displayed cargo traffic.
