Influence of noise on the human body

Studying sound waves, I have become interested in a question: "Influence of noise on a human body" because presently even more often I catch myself on a thought that the discomfort and fatigue are results of impact of noise in educational institutions, on the street, etc. Lately the average level of noise made by transport has increased by 12-14 decibels. That is why the problem of fight against noise gains the increasing sharpness now.
