The influence of the media and cinema on cultural memory of the Russian scientific community

This article defines the concept of cultural memory of the scientific community, and analyzes features of the national consciousness of scientists’ being. The authors describe processes of formation and broadcasting of images of the heroes of science in the cultural memory of the national community through film and media. Using the transformation of the image of Mikhail V. Lomonosov as an example, they revealed some ideological reasons for reforming cultural memory of national communities.
