The article analyzes the prerequisites, the course and results of the «Arab Spring» in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, and provides a systematic description of the concept of «Arab Spring» in the context of research on the history of contemporary international relations. The authors give the main characteristics of political regimes that were in power on the eve of the «Arab Spring» events, and explain the main reasons for the emergence of popular speeches, depending on the specific state-political situation. The main manifestations and consequences of the «Arab Spring», such as the emergence of civil wars and internecine conflicts, the formation and activities of international terrorist groups, the destruction of economic infrastructure and the refugee problem are studied in detail. Particular attention is paid to the unique precedents of the «Arab Spring» in the context of the political situation in the Republic of Yemen. The authors studied the internal factors that accompanied the revolutionary processes, such as the lack of developed socioeconomic infrastructure, low living standards, unemployment and small wages, and the lack of youth support programs. Attention is also drawn to external factors, such as inspiring events and even managing them from Western (primarily American) structures through the Internet and global social networks. Thus, the events of the «Arab Spring» in Yemen represent a complex combination of internal and external factors that have affected the destabilization of the socio-political situation and, as a result, led to a systemic state-political crisis. In the course of the study, the main manifestations of the revolutionary process in the Yemeni people's mentality and state power were revealed, and the phenomenon of the «Arab spring» was investigated in the context of the events in Yemen.
