The Impact of Social Networks on the Psycho-Emotional State of Students Aged 18–20

The article investigates the influence of time spent in social networks and type of content on the psycho-emotional state of medical university students aged 18-20 years. In a sample of 107 respondents, there was a positive correlation between the duration of social network use and the level of anxiety (r = 0.52). There is also a strong positive correlation between consumption of news content and the level of anxiety, whereas educational content has no significant impact.
