An important characteristic of a variety for a successful operation in a nursery is its ability to vegetatively propagate. The technologies for the growth of planting material are constantly being improved to increase their quality and reduce their production cost. The purpose of the research was to study the regenerative ability of green cuttings and the yield of planting material of black currant under conditions of artificial using the technology of green cuttings. The research tasks included the study of the microclimate, the regenerative ability of green cuttings of different varieties of black currant, the yield of annual plants, their wintering and the yield of biennial plants. Therefore, issues related to the improvement of technology for the growth of seedlings in order to increase their yield are relevant. Black currant is an easily eradicated crop; even in bad years, the rooting rate of cuttings is 50-80%, reaching 100% in most varieties in favorable years. The influence of varietal characteristics on regenerative processes manifests itself more strongly under less favorable conditions. The waste of rooted cuttings varies from 14.7 to 65.3%. Different varieties react differently to high humidity and low temperature. The yield of annual varieties varies by year and ranges from 14.7 to 72.0%. Black currant is distinguished by high sprouting of buds in green cuttings. The number of cuttings with sprouted buds ranges between 56.6-100.0% depending on the year and variety. The waste of annual varieties of black currant in case of wintering is relatively small and ranges from 1.3 to 14.7%. The yield of biennial plants is highly dependent on the yield of annual ones and varies from year to year between 6.7 and 66.4% or between 24 and 237 pcs/m2.
