Influence of specalization of agricultural production of the Altai territory on the grain market in the region

The grain market of the Altai territory is the leading food market in the region and is influenced by many factors, one of which is the specialization of agricultural enterprises. Studies have shown that in the region of about 50 % of all agricultural enterprises have one major industry - the grain husbandry, which over 61 % provide the production resources of the region are grains, due to which Altai region is constantly increasing the level of self-sufficiency of the region is grain (in 2018 he made 132.8 %) and export of products abroad ( 13.2 % of all the resources of the region). Increasing grain production led to a reduction in grain imports for domestic consumption, which affected the food independence of the region. Despite the prevailing unfavorable price environment in the region in recent years, the grain production type of agricultural enterprises was more efficient in comparison with others, despite the higher production costs of cereals and legumes.
