This section presents the results of a study of the state of erythron in patients with AA before and after splenectomy, conventional drug therapy and in the long-term period after treatment (after 3 and 6 months and 1 year). A study of the functional usefulness of erythrocytes in patients with AA before splenectomy showed that the average value of dry mass of erythrocytes ranged from 26.5 to 33.8 pg, and on average was 32.3 ± 1.53 pg, which is almost no different from the values of healthy people. However, the percentage distribution of erythrocytes depending on the value of their dry mass (from 10 to 70 pg) in patients with AA for individual erythrocytes varied widely. At the same time, in patients compared to healthy people, the peak in the range of 30-40 pg was much smaller. Patients with AA are characterized by the presence of red blood cells with a small amount of hemoglobin. As can be seen from Table 3, the proportion of erythrocytes with a dry weight from 10 to 19 pg was 18.9+1.21%.
