Influence of the method of attaching the sieve mill and the operating parameters of its operation on the noise level

The basis of the process of cleaning the grain pile after the combine is made up of sieve grain cleaning machines. Grain separation on flat sieves is carried out due to the oscillatory movement of the latter. Significant alternating loads provoke the occurrence of harmful vibration and noise in the area of operation of grain cleaning equipment. It is possible to reduce the effect of harmful factors through the use of a design development that represents a corrugated pneumatic cylinder made of a polymer material of high elasticity, on which a sieve mill is installed. The effectiveness of this technical solution was tested experimentally in the laboratory conditions of the Voronezh State Agrarian University. The research was carried out on a laboratory installation that simulates the operation of an industrial grain cleaning machine OZF-80. The sound characteristics from the installation were recorded using the Octave-110A noise meter, based on the standard technique. The operating parameters of the machine varied within the following limits: the amplitude - 16,28 mm; the oscillation frequency of the grating mill from 300 to 500 min.-1 with an interval of 25 min.-1. As an object of comparison, we used the basic configuration of a grid mill suspended on flat suspensions. Using a standard attachment of the grating mill to the machine frame with an oscillation amplitude of 28 mm, the noise level generated during the operation of the separator exceeds the remote control by 2,3-9,0 dBA. When the oscillation amplitude of the grating mill is reduced to 16 mm, the overall noise level at all frequencies is reduced. The use of standard mounting of the screen housing also leads to an excess of the remote control by 1,2 dBA for 400 min.-1 and by 7,2 for 500 min.-1. The use of a corrugated pneumatic cylinder at an oscillation frequency of 300 to 450 min.-1 does not increase the noise level above 85 dBA. To preserve the health of the hearing organs of the personnel of grain cleaning complexes, it is recommended to use a corrugated pneumatic cylinder for fixing the sieve mill at all operating parameters of the grain cleaning machine at a frequency of vibrations of the sieves less than 450 min.-1.
