The article deals with the results of ecological and economic assessment of spring barley cultivation on eroded soils of the Rostov region depending on the methods of the main tillage. An analysis of the cost of compensation for the full annual economic damage from water erosion, yield, direct costs, as well as an assessment of the conditional net income and profitability of the production of spring barley on slope lands.
