Strong and prolonged cold weather with winds and deep snow precipitation repeating at long intervals of time do not allow animals to develop stable adaptation. These events are always accompanied by a mass loss of livestock. Different breeds of sheep have different features of ecology and biology and thus they differently overcome these natural disasters.
