The influence of the dry extract of cinquefoil white (Potentilla alba L.) on morphofunctional state of thyroid gland in experimental hypothyroidism

In connection with the steady growth of thyroid gland diseases the search of new plant preparations of plant origin having thyroid-stimulating action is still actual. In this aspect the development of preparation on the basis of the extract of Cinquefoil white (Potentilla alba L.) is proposed to be promising. In this article the influence of the dry extract of Cinquefoil white on the course of experimental hypothyroidism has been considered. The result of these researches is revealed that peroral injection of Cinquefoil white in dose 50 mg/kg influences on thyroid status at experimental hypothyroidism and regenerates the structure of thyroid gland.
