The impact of decarbonization trends on the development of the coal industry

The scientific article examines the influence of decarbonization trends in energy on the development of the coal industry. The role of coal in the generation of electricity in the countries of the world is determined, the current state of the coal industry is assessed, negative consequences for the environment are identified. A SWOT analysis of coal generation was carried out. Based on the conducted research, risks are identified and ways to reduce them are proposed, the prospects of the coal industry are determined.
