The article discusses the influence of transnational elites on the development of the modern world political process. The attention is focused on the fact that such events as the growth of anti-immigration sentiments in Europe, Brexit, Trump's victory in the USA, not only indicate the strengthening of national elites and the growth of patriotic sentiments in a number of countries of the world community elite from neoliberal to neoconservative. According to the author, the neoconservative strategy of transnational elites will determine their policies at the next stage of historical development in the world. The article analyzes the implications of the transition of transnational elites to the neoconservative strategy of their activities for changing political and economic relations in the world. As a result of the study, the author concludes that at present the neoconservative turn has not yet been finally carried out. There is still a struggle between the two “global” groups of transnational elites, which adhere to different strategies of their activities in the international arena. The outcome of this struggle will show time.
