On the influence of the work of the masters of the Shikotan group on the development of easel painting in the Far East

The article is devoted to the development of painting in the Far East. The article examines the work of the masters of painting who are members of the Shikotan group, whose permanent head was Oleg Nikolaevich Loshakov, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor. The author analyzes the orientation and value changes in the art of Primorye, associated with the synthesis of the Moscow school of painting, the "severe style" and the cultural traditions of the East of our country, which gave impetus to the development of the art of painting. An essential part of the article is the material about the specifics of the development of the Far Eastern masters of the "severe style", acquaintance with the creative manner of the Moscow artists of the members of the Shikotan group. The works of painting created by both artists of the Far East and Moscow painters are analyzed. The author analyzes the work of artists in the context of the development of Russian art in the second half of the XX-beginning of the XXI century. The article examines the paintings created by the masters of the Shikotan group in the genres of landscape, portrait, and subjectthemed paintings.
